The Puck Fair and the Wren Boys are two rural festive practices that have been performed in Ireland for thousands of years. Nuding’s book combines documentary photography with staged images created in collaboration with stylist Kieran Kilgallon, reflecting Nuding’s street and studio-based practices. This contemporary rendering of myth and its recycled elements (represented here by repurposed materials, be they hay or tinsel) alludes to the importance of creative and ritualistic practices in all forms of community-building. ◉
