Published from 1997 to 2004, Nest was a celebration of interior-designer outcasts, favouring the unorthodox, the unconventional and the unruly over the era’s obsession with clean standards. With each of the magazine’s 26 issues presented as a 16-page portfolio – as well as appearances from Michael Cunningham, Nan Goldin and Patti Smith – bookmaker and former fashion designer Todd Oldham has created a volume whose boldness and vibrancy matches the values of its subject matter.
